A richly photographed exploration of  Rajasthan’s palaces, forts, and cultural traditions, capturing its vibrant colors, artisanal heritage, and majestic landscapes through Melissa Biggs Bradley’s insightful writing and Guido Taroni’s striking photography.

Welcome to Rajasthan—India’s storied “Land of Kings”— where travelers and design devotees have long been captivated by dramatic landscapes, princely architecture, and a visual culture shaped over centuries. Melissa Biggs Bradley’s narrative delves into Rajasthan’s living traditions of craftsmanship, illuminating how beauty, spirituality, reverence for nature, and ancient wisdom are woven into material culture—from palaces and jewels to textiles, tassels, and everyday objects. Guido Taroni’s lens reveals the region’s extraordinary visual range, from carved temples and lakeside palaces to desert forts, embroidered textiles, intricate stonework, and opulent interiors, all layered with history, mysticism, and myth.

Together, text and image reveal a culture in which design is inseparable from ritual, meaning, and place. Highlighting Rajasthan’s most unforgettable architecture, interiors, textiles, and art, Rajasthan Style opens the door to an enchanted world—one that continues to inspire contemporary design, travel, and the imagination.
